In 2009, Rollei (Frank & Heideke) declared insolvency and the Afi product line was closed by Leaf.

In addition the Leaf division of Kodak was shut down in this year and was later bought by Phase One (Denmark). Leaf continued development and manufacture of Aptus II backs. These backs had improved electronics.
