Family story 2014-2016

Living at Y.L. Baruch and Tzamarot

Yaniv, Darcy and Stav moved to an apartment in Jaffa and Darcy began her conversion to Judaism. The conversion involves both partners in the process and Yaniv became closer to being religious. Fanny and myself babysat for Stav while they went to conversion class. I would ride my bicycle from work  to the train station in Kfar Saba and then take the train to Jaffa. The next morning I would take a bus to the station, collect my bicycle and then ride to Leaf in Atir Yeda, Kfar Saba.

Tahel met Tom from moshav Sde Nitzan and our two families became close.

At Pesach time we (the Goldsmiths) visited Akaba, staying at the Bedouin Garden Village on the Red Sea.

Aimee and Zee visited us. We toured the Old City ramparts in Jerusalem.

Atalya and Bar were married at Bat Yaar in the Galil.

Meish and Diana came from Australia and we visited the caves at Bet Govrin.

Tami and Noan very generously offered their home in Sde Nitzan and Yaniv and Darcy had their Jewish wedding there in March, 2015.

Slava and Natalia came to visit his grandmother and we went with them to the beach at Tantura.

Yaniv, Darcy and Stav came to live with us when we moved back to Tsamarot and soon after Lily was born. Lianne had started working for Yemin Orde and came to visit us at the beginning of 2016.

Fanny and I flew to South America primarily for a Uruguayan reunion with friends from school. On the way we visited Machu Picchu in Peru. This had always been one of the things that I always had in mind to do and we were overwhelmed. We also visited Fanny’s cousins, Diana and Jorge in Tigre north of Buenos Aires as well as all her family in Buenos Aires and Montevideo and Sarita and Jose in Punta del Este. An amazing trip for both of us.

Yael Ackerman and her family came from Los Angeles and we had a family gathering in their honor at the Mashtela Park near to Judy’s home.
