Areas in my Life – Abridged version

This is another version of the “Areas in My Life” project. It is shorter and concise (162 images). In addition, it presents 2 points of view

My Life Story

I do it (Photography) because I want to make a mark on this world, to leave something behind me when I die.

I am inspired by the magical in things that I see while going about living.

My work represents my life-story in the hope that it is pertinent to other people’s lives, through the photographs and through the story.

A History of Areas in my Life since 1963

I can distinguish 7 areas (albums) in my life that are reflected in my photographs.

The 162 photographs are part of a body of work spanning 63 years since I first started taking photos at the age of 8.

The photos are arranged in 7 albums each containing about 25 photos from the 7 areas. They are arranged chronologically with one photo representing every 2 years.

It presents 2 points of view. The viewer can take either of two routes:

  1. Viewing by years
  2. Viewing by albums (areas).

In other words:

View each area of my life by selecting a period of 2 years and viewing all areas of my life in that period of time or by selecting an album and then viewing consecutive images year by year.
