During these years I was going through physical and spiritual changes, both occurring simultaneously with mutual impact. I was self-confident and yet still very sensitive and easily hurt. Perhaps being behind the camera served to protect me. Photography was important and I made myself a darkroom. I had an intrinsic feel for photographic composition that accompanies me until today. I photographed a wide range of subjects from the world I lived in and also made some pocket money through photographing sports and cultural events at school.
