Family story 2020-2021

Living at Tzamarot, Herzlia

Alice arrived in Israel to see her new grandchild. We had a rainy picnic in Chamat Gader and the hot springs there were even more amazing.

Miriam died in February, 2020 just short of the Corona virus pandemic. Tahel flew in from Chicago for the funeral.

We had a reduced Pesach Seder in quarantine, of course, scared every time we had to leave the apartment to do our shopping. It’s quite weird now looking at the photos taken with masks on.

In April, restrictions were lifted somewhat and we took the opportunity to take a bike trip to meet up with the Lameds in Glil Yam.

We celebrated Shlomo’s 100th birthday in Jerusalem some of the family participating  with Zoom. Our next family celebration was Ben and Daniel’s Chinna in Jerusalem.

We had some trying times when Tahel and Tom separated in Chicago. Tahel came to visit before she went to Poland for 6 months as part of her studies. Her visit was also just before Yaniv, Darcy and the 3 kids left to go live in the US.

Fanny and myself now had the apartment to ourselves and we started working from home, which has been great. Our expenses went down and of course this was welcome.
